Girls & Panzer Anime

Girls & Panzer is a show about Girls who in there school time\activity time drive tanks. I don’t know if they are going to a military school or private academy, as not to many details are floating about just yet. The trailer leads me to understand the genre and the direction, as this written like a day in the life show like K-on but also steps into action like Strike Witches. Though I think this show is not going to focus on the tank company training and battles, it looks like it focuses on mostly just tea parties, cake, and other moe-blob activities. I really hope this show can find a good balance point because it has potential to be really good. Girls in a German Made Panzer class tank, I’m not an expert on WW2 tanks but that looks like a PZiII with a short barrel, its normally classified as a light-medium anti-personal tank, rarely fighting head on with other tanks.

So to sum up quickly, a group of teen school girls will work together to drive this tank as part of a competition related to school; but the trailer leads me to believe that this anime focuses on there day to day lives. We shall know more in time.

Welcome To Error 37 Day!

As we all know Diablo 3 came out and that is pretty much all everyone is doing, unless you get the dreaded error 37 server error, which means you won’t be playing for a while. Blizzard has been fighting all day and night to keep the servers up and stable and they have been losing. The reason is sheer server over load, they did not anticipate that millions of fans would be trying to log on and play all at once. Diablo 3 can’t be played on LAN and requires a constant connection to the servers at battle.net and that means millions of players have to log in, authenticate, have there data served and then join or host a game. I can’t wait to see the press release Blizzard has coming for this major failure upon launch. They could have hosted more stress tests, they could have purchased more data center and bandwidth ahead of time. In short they failed this launch for North America.

I’m not that mad but to be honest I barely could play at all during the 14-15th due to server problems. There are people who took time off work to buy and play upon launch, hell there was a live launch party at the gamestop in Irvine California, wonder what the Devs had to say there. Oh well, the game servers have stabilized a bit more now but there are still so many angry fans ranting all over the place. I hope Blizzard puts out those flames and makes this right for those who still are getting error 37. Happy Hunting

Diablo 3 Wrath Movie

For all the Diablo fans out there, here is really cool back story commissioned by Blizzard for those who don’t know about the angels back story. It’s pretty neat, it’s short, but it’s good and to the point. It reminds me of a Halo short, it’s just a chunk of story but it’s right to the point, not a lot of building or plot. Also I added the newest TV trailers after the break. And oh yes I almost forgot If your looking for some sweet art & wallpaper and videos visit the official web site HERE, they have been adding new content weekly.

“Long before the creation of Sanctuary, the Eternal Conflict between angels and demons raged on for untold millennia. Blizzard Entertainment teamed up with renowned director Peter Chung and acclaimed animation studio Titmouse to create this unique vision of a fundamental moment in the battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells.”

Analogue: A Hate Story – Ya That’s The Games Name

Analogue: A Hate Story, is a game created  by indie developer Christine Love, this game has a detective like story where you pick from two dialogue options to choose from so basically yes or no questions in order to progress through the game. You also take control of various computers, and us some really basic linux terminals if you could call them that. Honestly it’s interesting but it’s not adult, there is no nudity and well as the story goes your going to fall in love with a computer.

Here’s a summary of the game’s story:

Back in the 25th century, Earth launched a generation ship into deep space, with the goal of establishing the first interstellar colony. It dropped out of contact and disappeared, never reaching its destination. Thousands of years later, it has finally been found. Uncover the mystery of what happened to the final generation aboard the generation ship mugunghwa by reading through its dead crew’s logs, with the help of a spunky AI sidekick!

There are two character paths. A grand total of five endings, wonder how many are good or bad. This is a dark visual novel that further extends the non-linear style kind of and Digital: A Love Story in a mystery featuring “transhumanism” – aka computer love, traditional marriage – aka Gay computer love, loneliness aka sad computer love, and cosplay – aka costumes for your computer.

I’ve played the demo and I was not to impressed overall. It’s only $10 bucks on Steam, it’s indie, and well it’s western made. Though the art is good, the flow of the game is nice, but I don’t care for story, the characters and the lack of depth, it just did not draw me in. The bottom line is that western made visual novels are just not quite there yet, but they are getting better and they are slowly gaining in popularity.

Tornadoes in Japan?

Well this is not exactly fresh news, but It’s still interesting news. Tornadoes are normal in some places for example Kansas, but in Japan they are extremely rare. Weather patterns have been shifting it seems, an early strong storm season has been mixing with the jet stream to create powerful cells over land. Normally this size of storm would form over the sea, and would be weakened by the time the storm reached shore. The same thing has been happening over the east cost of America, and in the Gulf. It has already been an extremely busy tornado season here in the states, it’s shaping up to be a record setting year for thunderstorms and tornado’s. This tornado killed one person and injured 30+ others. Several homes and business were damaged, and there was a lot of property damage.

Watch the video, what do you think about tornadoes in Japan?
