LoL Monday: The Football Giants Win!

So this week in LoL’s I’m covering the field with videos of every kind. What has Science done! The Milk man strikes, Ray comes back, and I could go for some electrolytes after all the server maintenance. Well you can’t have a week without some fail, and this week is no exception, fail good fail hard!

Then again What has science done!? Is it a question or a statement!?At this point a little bit of both, and the randomness rolls on. Life Size Miku Statue and Vocaloid Art Exhibit

A few new photos taken of the life sized, that’s right 1/1 scale Hatsune Miku statue have popped up on the Miku Facebook page. This Figure\statue is impressive and I’ve manged to find a video that also takes a look at the statue and the setting around. The Vocaloid art exhibit is also very impressive a mixture of Vocaloid’s are included. You don’t see this kind of setup often so check it out, the exhibit is located inside the New Chitose Airport in Japan. And the exhibit ends on February 12th, so if your a hardcore fan book your ticket today!

Site\Gallery Maintenance Sunday-Monday

Just a general notice, the gallery will be running a bit slow tonight through tomorrow morning. We are are running some maintenance tasks, doing backups and some general upgrades. Nothing on the site will be completely down, but the backups might cause some delay in our databases, so we are just giving you the heads up. AnimeRoot is also in the process of testing some new gallery software, and is working on a few other Top Secret projects at this very moment.

The Life Sized Ken is not just run of the mil, it’s covered in Gems valued at about $130,000 for the stones alone. So the winning bid which translate to roughly $40,000 is a steal for this figure.Well at least it was for a good cause, because 10 % of winning bid were donated to the Red Cross of Japan for Earthquake relief.

All I have to say is that this Kenshiro is badass and over the top. “You are already dead!”

The life-size Fist of the North Star figure — that happens to be inlaid with 500,000 Swarovski crystals — received a final bid of 3 million yen (about US$39,000) in a December auction on the Yahoo! Japan website. The crystals alone on this statue of manga lead character Kenshirō are worth 10 million yen (US$130,000).

I’m not into these kinds of dating sims, but many folks are. And Many folks are excited once again because the new Love plus is coming out soon in Japan. The limited edition of the game is massive, and weighs in at around 13 pounds. That’s a lot of love!

If you are in to dating sims with no adult content then this is for you, if your looking for tenticale monsters look elsewhere. Don’t have a clue about Love Plus well learn more here

I personally don’t care for these games, and I happen to agree with Gintama on the topic.

Turbos and Temples

Last Week I posted a Feature on Mighty Car Mods and people loved it! So Now I bring you the complete movie Turbos and Temples. This film is the complete experience covering many subjects along the way. Marty and Moog do a great job explaining and exploring Japan, the island of Hokkaido to be exact.

Mighty Car Mods take a road trip around Hokkaido in Japan in a 660cc Kei Car for their first feature length film. I enjoyed the film and I highly recommend watching it and buying it. The dvd comes with extras not shown on youtube or in the film, and you can get the soundtrack from I-tunes or through the Mighty mods website.

LoL Monday: Luka’s Birthday Bash!

Happy Birthday Luka! Her Birthday was yesterday, but I’ve held off on posting, saved the videos and such for today! Megurine Luka’s Birthday LoL’s; I’ve compiled a ton of videos for everyone, starting off with some Luka videos and ending with a giant Cheeseburger. Ya very odd right?

Kicking it off with our favorite pink hair Vocaloid Luka, she’s cute, she’s strong, her voice is amazing, and somtimes she can be an octopus! I love her, she is so cute! Well after the birthday bash videos for Luka, I tossed in a few X-games video’s. but of course I should mention that X-Games took place here in our home state of Colorado, it too came to a close on Sunday. It was an epic weekend for action sports, some amazing world firsts were achieved including the epic Front Flip on a snowmobile! And a X-Games first perfect score! And after that I tossed in a ton of funny videos and a giant Cheeseburger!

So let me sum up, Epic Luka, Epic action, and Epic lols, Epic burger!

This Guy Makes The “Cut”

I have seen some crazy swordsmen in my time, but this gentleman takes the cake as one of the best cutters I’ve seen in years. In the video embedded below Isao Machii aka the “Modern Samurai” Cuts a bunch of really tough things, including moving targets some as small as a pea. They use Gojimon from Lupan the third for comparison for skills with the katana, he would make Gojimon proud. Machii has been featured on Real life Super Heroes on the history channel, and is the current world record holder of 3 records. Most Cuts in 3 minutes, Quickest Sword Draw speed, and Most Straw mats cut in 3 Minutes. A very impressive set of feats, and a very talented swordsman, hands down the best of this decade.
