Tales of Vesperia: First Strike Bluray Combo

Funimation has released the date, the cover art, some details, a price and a few clips from the film’s dub. I’m happy to report that they are delivering the goods on a combo pack that includes both the DVD and High Definition Bluray. Funimation acquired rights to sell the movie last year in April, and it’s been a long wait. Read my Review HERE, keep in mind my review is based on the Japanese release. The English cast is great, though not the same as the games cast, which the games which was fantastic as well. This movie takes place before the game, so you don’t have to worry about any spoiler alerts if you have not played the game.

Adult Swim Trolls You with “The Room” and Then Toonami!

My eyes are not being tricked, this is Toonami on adult swim. Tune in now to see, but if you can’t well you missed it. Tom is\was back, fully voiced and it’s just like the good old days. Bleach, DBZ, Gundam Wing, and more! I can’t belive my eyes, Toonami on adult swim. Fully Updated but still retro, best Arpil fools I’ve seen in years. I would be happy if they kept it this way, Honestly made my day.

Live Update: This is a full blown Toonami, they have created full commercial spots, transitions, and reviews! They just gave a full review of Mass Effect 3, they scored it an 8.3 out of 10. Tom said “It was kick ass, but the ending was a little weak.” I have to agree, just finished DBZ, was the last episode of the Cell Saga, now Gundam wing is on. – 2:00am mst

They have set up a website for the the preview HERE. No set dates yet, but I would hope for a fall or winter release. This news was made public during the Anime Content Expo in Japan.

Nujabes: Spiritual State

This Album was released post Nujabes Passing, he was working on it when he was killed in an traffic accident. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, though I am a fan of his music. I initially got into Nujabes because I enjoyed the soundtrack to Samurai Champloo, and ever since then I have loved the works he has worked on. His music consists of vinyl, hip-hop, jazz, piano, classic, fusion, and break beat. For the most part his tunes are smooth, some might call them chill, great thinking music. Phantasy Star Online 2: Character Creation Preview

What you see in the video is preview of the new character creation system, showing off the races and some of the classes. They did not go into any great detail but it looks much like the older system from the Sega DreamCast, you choose your race, class, gender, face, hair, height, ect. It looks like they have gone the extra mile this time as you can fully tweak the look of your character all the way down to which way your ears and nose point. I’m getting very excited for this game, I really hope Sega of North America has plans to offer servers out here, if not it’s proxy time.
It should be noted that closed Beta applications are being taken in Japan, no word yet on North America or Europe. As far as I’ve read only Japanese IP’s are being accepted to the beta at this time.

Mass Effect Anime Preview

This film is an anime adaption of the video game series Mass effect that takes place in between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. EA is working with Studio T.O. Entertainment and Funimation to create, produce and publish this film. I have a feeling this film is going to be like the Halo Movie, that is it will be a series of short stories that take place around the universe. No guarantees at this point but some are saying that it will be released sometime late fall 2012.

The game developer Electronic Arts and its subsidiary BioWare, the North American distributor FUNimation Entertainment, and the anime studio Production I.G are partnering with T.O. Entertainment to produce the film. Funimation previously worked with BioWare and Japan’s T.O. Entertainment to create an anime film based on BioWare’s Dragon Age action RPG franchise. – SOURCE
